Romanian Day

Today we celebrated our Romanian community with a special Romanian Day in school.🇷🇴

Parents were warmly invited to join us for coffee and treats, creating a welcoming space to connect and celebrate together.

We were delighted to welcome visitors from the Roma Hub, the Migrant Centre, and Jill from Sure Start Botanic, whose presence helped strengthen our links with the wider community.

The celebration was further enriched by live music from our talented Iranian musician, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere throughout the day. Interpreters were available to support families and ensure everyone felt fully included.

Children wore bracelets in the colours of the Romanian and Romani flags, learned about the culture and the language through a video made by our Romanian students and coloured a Romanian picture to further celebrate the day.

The activities helped create a joyful atmosphere and gave everyone the opportunity to learn, share and celebrate together. We all belong together! 🫱🏽‍🫲🏻
