Nora Egri - Past Pupil Success

14th Jan 2019

Nóra Egri left our school in June 2018 to head to Aquinas Grammar School. Nóra is very courageous, she came to us from Hungary and even though she found it a little difficult to settle in to school at first she persisted and became a popular and much-admired P7 pupil.

Mr McVeigh and Mrs Göde remember how hard she had to work in order to learn the English translations of mathematical language for the Transfer Test and she did it; achieving her goal and earning a place at Aquinas Grammar School.

Nóra has been highlighted for her courage in a world many would label as 'male-dominated'; the world of Professional Ice Hockey. She has been used as an inspirational figure in the recent advertisement for the Skoda Scala model car. At Holy Rosary we always tell our children that they can do anything with hard work, focus, persistence, faith and dedication. Nóra is one of many of our children who stand as living proof of this.

Well done Nóra, we are very proud of you and of all of our pupils past and present.
