Gaelic Blitz Success

18th Oct 2016
Well done to our boys' Gaelic team who have won three out of their first four matches this year, putting themselves in with a great chance of getting through into the Belfast Schools Finals of the Antrim Allianz Cumann na mBunscol  league. On Tuesday 4th October we went over to Grosvenor Road 3G pitches to play a mini blitz. Our boys played well in their first match but lost to Scoil an Droichead. In the second game they came from behind to beat St. Joseph’s Slate Street in an incredible late comeback, and in the third game on that day they won convincingly against St. Joseph’s Ballyhackamore.   Following on from this success the boys were also victorious last Friday in their match against St. Malachy’s 6-3 – 5-4 at the Queens PEC, in a fiercely contested match which was close right until the end. Thankfully our boys ( with the help of Nicole and Orla!) held on for the win and in doing so have given themselves a great chance of progressing.  Mr Sinclair was delighted with the boys' performances and said he was extremely proud of their amazing efforts!
