Fairtrade Fortnight

To celebrate Fairtrade fortnight we have been taking part in a number of amazing events to raise awareness and funds for Fairtrade and the Fairtrade Foundation. On Monday we were treated to an amazing interactive assembly from Mr McVeigh's P6 class all about Fairtrade tea. We learnt about how the Fairtrade premium ensures workers get a fair price for the long hours they work. 

The Fairtrade Council have been very busy organising prizes and selecting the winners for the Fairtrade poster competition. Winners will be announced at a special assembly on Friday along with the winners of the Fairtrade Raffle for the luxury Fairtrade hamper. If you haven't got a ticket yet for the raffle it's not too late, the Fairtrade Council will be coming around this week to sell tickets to all classes for 20p, with the proceeds going to the Fairtrade Foundation.
